What is SAT?
SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test which is a mandatory test for those students who want to pursue their undergraduate in abroad especially in the US and Canada. A private and non-profit organization in the United States named College Board owns the SAT and conducts the exams. SAT Exam Structure
SAT exam pattern is well designed by the College Board organization. It is divided into three sections in which the first two sections are compulsory and the last is optional. The first section is “Evidence-Based Reading and Writing” which is further divided into two sub-sections that are “reading test” and the “writing and language test”.
The second section is about “Mathematics” which is further divided into two sub-sections that are “maths with a calculator” and “maths without a calculator”. The last section is about “Essay Writing” which is optional. The total duration is 3 hours but if you attempt the last section, 50 minutes will be given to you extra.
