This is a novel under fantasy fiction. The author creates such beautiful characters and brings them to life is a mystery in this story.

The book proved to be engaging enough and very well designed. Usually, books have overly detailed descriptions of everything or they rely on relating the facts, though Hobb achieved a good balance. That makes it better for readers.

 It is a story of six years old Fitz who is a royal illegitimate. He protects the throne from his over-ambitious uncle Regal at the cost of his life.

But at the ending Fitz was killed by his uncle, and thus, the story ends with sadness.
